World of sound...stuff that I enjoy and/or discovered recently, typically with a focus on niche, indie artists. Click on the album cover to be taken to the download/purchase page. Every sample is 30 seconds with a fade-in → fade-out effect as to not be jarring. Think of these clips as an itty bitty COSTCO sample for the album itself. Q: How do you find these artists?!
A: By being very good at browsing. For the real niche stuff, I recommend going to a local record shop and taking a bunch of pamphlets. There are usually local artists listed so you can support those near you! I'm also pretty diligent about keeping an eye on doujin event releases (M3, Comitia).
Q: What are your favorite genres?
A: Celtic, Welsh & Irish folk. Sámi, Tibetan, Indian & Syberian folk too! I'm generally ok with anything except for black metal or death metal, which is ironic because my best friend leads bands with both.
