Q: What are your favorite genres?
A: Celtic, Welsh & Irish folk. Sámi, Tibetan, Indian & Syberian folk too!
I'm generally ok with anything except for black metal or death metal,
which is ironic because my best friend leads bands with both.

Q: How do you discover niche music?
A: Years of web-dwelling has allowed me to sharpen my browsing skills...
Scrolling through the depths of Bandcamp or going down SS rabbit holes is generally productive.
I also highly recommend going to local record shops and taking pamphlets--
they often feature local, niche artists!

Q: What determines the "new" and "old" tags?
A: Anything before 2010 is "old". I don't agree with this, because that means I'm old,
but to younger people I'm sure this is reasonable categorization.

Q: And the rest of the tags?
A: Frankly, I'm sure some things are tagged incorrectly.
I think being pedantic when it comes to genres is setting yourself up for failure.
So, rather than picking apart possible mistakes, please just enjoy the music.
